How many people can I have on the boat when we go tubing or wakeboarding or waterskiing?

The standard answer is that the boat will have a builders plate or safety sticker that outlines how many people are allowed to be carried.

The longer answer revolves around our recommendation to use one the beaches as a base and operate from there.

Our favourite beach in Middle Harbour, indeed anywhere on Sydney Harbour, to use as a water-sports base is Flat Rock Beach.

Flat Rock Beach sits on the left hand side as you go from Killarney Point towards Bantry Bay.

Flat Rock Beach

Just 5 minutes from Roseville Boat ramp and right on the best bit of the harbour for water-sports. The water is usually smooth here and there is relatively little through traffic.

It has a sandy beach and is almost always sheltered from wind and waves so bringing boats in for pickup and drop off is simple and stress free.

The best part is that you can launch at Roseville Ramp and take your bulky and heavy gear around to the beach on the boat, while telling your wider crew and guests to just meet you at the beach. They can park at the very end of Killarney Drive and walk down a short bush path to the beach.

This way you can have a few people on the boat and rotate drivers, skiers, tubers and boarders off the beach all day.

Instead of 6 or 7 people enjoying your boat for the day, you can have 6 or 7 families hanging out on the beach and enjoying the endless watersports.
